Probably many of us love this Italian dish. Pizza is the most popular food in the world, although no, the most popular product is the hamburger. But still, pizza does not give up and in any more or less large city there are a dozen pizzerias. Somewhere tastier, somewhere not. But it’s easy to make pizza yourself!
Pizza is NOT pizza without dough! Therefore, to begin with, we will prepare the dough. The dough should be yeasty. Those who are the laziest can go to the store, and those who do not want store food can prepare it themselves. That’s what we will do.
To begin with, we will take yeast starter (well, or just yeast in a different way) and, having mixed it in two tablespoons of warm water (or better milk), leave it in a warm place for 10-15 minutes. At this time, we need to sift the flour into a deep plate. It is possible without sifting, but the dough will not be the same. In the center of our hill of flour, you make an indentation and pour in the leaven, as well as a little milk. Do not forget about salt. We knead the dough until it reaches such a state that the dough does not stick to the walls of the bowl. We wrap the resulting bun in cling film or a bread bag and leave it in a warm place for an hour until the dough has doubled in size.
With the purchased test, everything is much simpler, for the initial preparation we just need to thaw it. The next step is the same for everyone:
We spread our dough on a smooth surface (for example, a table or a large cutting board), sprinkled with flour, and knead it for another minute. After this procedure, the dough is rolled out, preferably thinner, the shape depends on your imagination. Having made the base, wrap the corners so that a border forms around the perimeter of our future pizza.
Next, we need a sauce to grease the pizza. Again, we either go to the store or create at home. The easiest way is to mix a tablespoon of mayonnaise and two spoons of tomato paste (or ketchup). For a spicy lover: you can add chili pepper or tobasco to the sauce. Remember, you don’t need to cover the surface of the pizza abundantly with sauce, otherwise the dough will be raw and not fully baked!
Creating a filling is a creative process, there are no clear rules and instructions. Do to your taste! Although I would recommend a few fillings:
Classic: first, we put the tomatoes cut into circles. Try to cut them thinly – thick slices will be uncomfortable to eat. After the tomatoes, add chopped sausages (as an option, doctor’s sausage) and smoked / raw smoked sausage (for example, salami or pepperoni) to your culinary masterpiece. Do not forget about mushrooms. Rub cheese on top.
Vegetarian: everything is the same as in the previous recipe, except that meat products are replaced by vegetables: bell pepper, olives, onions.
Three cheeses: also put on the first layer of tomatoes. I recommend only raw smoked sausages for this recipe. Top the pizza with three cheeses: Gouda, Cheddar and Roquefort. By the way, if you don’t like cheese with mold, you can change it to another.
Do not forget about seasonings and spices! Oregano, basil, thyme, chili would be ideal for pizza… You can look for bags of spices in stores, where the listed and other herbs are collected.
Having collected both the filling and the base, we proceed to baking our dinner / lunch. We put the pizza in a preheated oven and cook it for 15-25 minutes, depending on the temperature regime, but on average it should be around 150-180 degrees. Check the degree of baking of the dough.
It is better to cut with a special round-shaped knife or a very sharp blade of an ordinary one. Serving pizza is recommended either with red wine or with sweet, strong black tea.
